2021 Philadelphia Pride Events
Happy Pride Month! The first day of June marks the beginning of a celebration of the LGBTQ community and the fight for rights. Philadelphia is a city that’s full of various events throughout the month, as a means to honor the endless contributions that LGBTQ members have made throughout the city. These events also help bring awareness to the issues that LGBTQ members still face today. Sadly, there will not be a parade, but there is still many other events to look forward to!
All throughout the month of June, PrideFlix, which is an annual LGBTQ film festival, presents an all-virtual film event in honor of Pride! PrideFlix begins on June 1 and will continue the entire month. They do LGBTQ feature films, documentaries, and shorts, as well as some weekly discussions of the LGBTQ experience.
Twenty-eight different artists showcase their individual pandemic experiences in an online exhibition! They are exhibited through works that represent the LGBTQ community and the various challenges that they faced, but highlighting the warmth that the community gave them during such a difficult time.
Up on the roof at Christ Church Neighborhood House, you will find a drag queen-led quizzo show! Some laughs, some trivia, and nothing but a good time! There will also be drinks from Art in the Age, as well as the selection of a snack.
