New Homes & Investment Opportunities Coming to Port Richmond/Harrowgate
Port Richmond is north of Fishtown and has been seeing new development in recent years. Harrowgate is further inland and is starting to get the attention of developers, as well. A new development is being built on Tulip Street, near Westmoreland Street, that will have townhomes and triplexes that owner/occupants can rent out. This new development is being called Riverrock Landing and it is designed by KJO Architects.
Riverrock Landing will have 11 townhomes and seven triplexes. The triplexes would be sold to owner/occupants who will rent out the two other units to tenants. All the buildings will have green roofs with roof top decks. The townhouses will have three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. All the units will have imported hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, finished basements, and nine foot high ceilings. Optional upgrades include remote controlled SMART home systems for utilities and advanced communications systems. The backyard will have 18.5’ by 10’ spaces that allow for grilling and outdoor dining, which can be designed by the builder. The exteriors will have white and charcoal gray corrugated metal panels. Sales prices are starting at $349,000 and are subject to increase with every four units sold. The project has recently broken ground.
Riverrock Landing helps lead the redevelopment of the Harrowgate neighborhood and continue the development in Port Richmond. It brings not only new homes, but rental apartments and the chance for rental properties for owner/occupants looking to make extra income. And, it adds to the mix of modernist architecture in that part of the city.
