PHILADELPHIA “COUNTY FAIR” at The Oval
Exciting news! A full-fledged County Fair arrives at The Oval this weekend, October 10 through 12, for the last of The Oval’s weekends of fall programming.
Celebrate fall — and fairs — with everything from a Ferris wheel and carnival games to an outdoor bar and free movie screenings.

Friday, October 10
Beginning at noon on Friday, October 10, The Oval transforms into a County Fair complete with a Ferris wheel and carnival games. Rides on the Ferris wheel are $5 per person, and there are certain height restrictions.
When the work day winds to a close, The Oval opens an outdoor Frecon Farms hard cider and wine garden, and welcomes food trucks like Whirly Pig and Sweetbox Cupcakes. While eating, drinking and playing carnival games, groove to music provided by DJ Apt One.
Saturday, October 11
The fun starts at noon on Saturday. Look forward to the return of the Ferris wheel, carnival games, the cider and wine garden and food trucks.
Also on Saturday, guests can expect a cornhole tournament, a craft with the Please Touch Museum, face painting and live music from Black Horse Motel.
At the end of the night, start your Halloween celebrations a little early with a free outdoor double-feature screening of Hocus Pocus and O Brother, Where Art Thou? starting at 7 p.m.
Sunday, October 12
End the weekend at The Oval as it hosts the final day of the County Fair from noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy food trucks, alfreso drinks from the cider and wine garden, face painting and music.
Autumnal activities take the spotlight, too — guests can expect an apple cider press activity, a barn dance and petting zoo.
